The Board members of Port Phillip and Westernport CMA  (PPWCMA) are appointed by the Victorian Minister for Water, Environment and Climate Change. The Board is responsible for the development of strategic direction and planning for the integrated management of land and water resources in the region, and is ultimately responsible for all the functions undertaken by the PPWCMA.

The Board has extensive experience and knowledge of primary industries, land protection, water resource management, environmental conservation, local government, and business and financial management.

The Board for the 2006 - 2009 term was announced by the Minister for Water, the Hon. John Thwaites MP, on Friday 28 July 2006.
