The Board of the Port Phillip & Westernport Catchment Management Authority is pleased to invite you to join all of the project partners at the launch of the Restoring the natural glory of Jacksons Creek at Sunbury project.

This project will establish a nature link along Jacksons Creek between the Emu Bottom Wetlands and Salesian College on the edge of Sunbury.

The project aims to:

  • remove pest plants and animals
  • establish new native vegetation to link
  • strengthen existing habitat.
  • help local animals including the Growling Grass Frog, Swift Parrot and Platypus

It will be a great example of effective environmental work in urban development areas.

This project is a partnership involving the PPWCMA, Salesian College, Wurundjeri, Melbourne Water, Villawood Properties, Hume City Council, the Friends of Emu Bottom Wetland and other community groups.

It includes an allocation of $300,000 from the Victorian Government’s Our Catchments, Our Communities initiative.

Afternoon tea will be served after the launch.

To assist with our planning, please register on Eventarc as soon as possible.
