Victorian Investment Framework - VIF
The Victorian Investment Framework (VIF) provides the mechanism to consolidate a number of funding programs by the Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE) to invest in natural resource management across Victoria’s ten catchment management regions.
The VIF incorporates regional, statewide and multi-regional projects in a single process. Regional projects and activities are submitted by potential service providers to Catchment Management Authorities (CMAs) for inclusion in an integrated Regional Investment Proposal (RIP). For statewide and multi-regional project proposals, service providers are encouraged to contact DSE directly.
The VIF - Guidelines for 2009/10 outline the general investment priorities for the funding programs for the next financial year and provide information to assist in the preparation of project proposals. Investment program representatives are consulting directly with CMAs regarding the specific implications of their priorities for each catchment region.
A number of existing PPWCMA projects have contributed to improvement in the region's environment through funding provided by the State Government.
