Grow West 2009 Community Planting Day

The Grow West Planting Day is once again approaching and Grow West, in conjunction with the Victorian National Parks Association and Conservation Volunteers Australia, is excited to invite you to take part in the event.

This year’s planting day at the W. James Whyte Island Reserve will help Conservation Volunteers Australia enhance vegetation corridors linking Werribee Gorge State Park with isolated remnants in the area and rehabilitate stretches of the Myrniong Creek and Werribee River.

Last year more than 100 volunteers turned up for the day.    This year we plan to repeat the success of previous years and hope VNPA members and friends will once again come out in force.  A BBQ lunch will be provided by the local Lions Club and you will be assured of a rewarding and friendly day.  We look forward to seeing you there!
