This year marks the 30th Anniversary of Landcare in Victoria. To celebrate this significant milestone, the Port Phillip & Westernport Catchment Management Authority, with funding from the Victorian Government, is supporting a range of events across the region.
To celebrate the efforts and achievements of Landcare groups in Melbourne’s west, the Port Phillip & Westernport CMA is joining with the Moorabool Landcare Network and Nature West to host an exciting Birds of Prey event on Sunday 13th November from 2pm – 5pm at the Bacchus Marsh Public Hall.
Martin Scuffins from the Leigh Valley Hawk and Owl Sanctuary will showcase birds of prey in a live show, including the Wedge-tailed Eagle, and provide an educational presentation on these magnificent birds.
Bring the whole family along to get up close and personal with the birds!
Following the Birds of Prey show, there will be the opportunity to learn about local Landcare projects and people over the past 30 years, as well as enjoy a delicious afternoon tea.
This is a free event, however registrations are essential. Registrations close Monday 7th November 2016.
