This year marks the 30th Anniversary of Landcare in Victoria. To celebrate this significant milestone, the Port Phillip & Westernport Catchment Management Authority, with funding from the Victorian Government, is supporting a range of events across the region.
To celebrate the efforts and achievements of Landcare groups in the Western Port area, the Port Phillip & Westernport CMA is supporting the Western Port Catchment Landcare Network to host a Celebratory Dinner and Annual General Meeting on Friday 11th November from 6pm at the Garfield Golf Club.
The dinner is an opportunity for Landcarers and Landcare supporters to socialise and raise a glass to recognise and celebrate the fantastic achievements from 30 years of hard work and community leadership.
A showcase of Landcare projects and people in the Western Port area will be on display giving guests a chance to see the contributions made to the local environment over three decades.
During the evening, Dan Turnbull from the Bunurong Land Council and Rhys Collins from the Port Phillip & Westernport CMA will provide information on Indigenous engagement in the area.
A two course dinner will be served, followed by cake and coffee. Drinks will be available at bar prices. Tickets are being offered at a subsidised rate and are just $18 each. Registrations are essential and close Monday 7th November 2016.
