Accounting for natural capital

February 27 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Mornington Peninsula Farmer Discussion Group

Come and learn what we have learnt! The Accounting for Nature project has been trialling Accounting for Natural Capital methods for assessing native vegetation and soils on farms.

These can be turned into accounting terms which may attract future opportunities for incentive and trading schemes. We see it as a potential opportunity to account for regenerative farming practices.

Barragunda Farm is a large beef grazing farm with a commercial orchard and market garden and was a trial site for the project.

Saturday 27th February
10am cuppa, 10am-12pm shed talk and farm walk
Barragunda Farm, 113 Cape Schanck Rd, Cape Schanck- follow the driveway and signage.

Please ensure you wear sturdy enclosed shoes and appropriate weather gear.

This project is supported by PPWCMA through funding from the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program and the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation through the Eldon & Anne Foote Trust, in partnership with Mornington Peninsula Shire.
