The Port Phillip & Westernport CMA has engage Digital Storytelling to run a six-week course on how Landcare and community environmental groups can tell their stories by film.
The online course will run every Thursday from 10am-11.30am from 29 October to 3 December and is open to all volunteers and facilitators from Landcare and community environmental groups in the Port Phillip and Western Port region.
When registering you will be booking into all sessions. Participants are encouraged to try to attend all six sessions, but they will be recorded to allow catch up if one is missed.
In between the weekly sessions, participants will need to gather footage and commence edits to further develop their story. Participants do not require any special equipment, just a smart phone.
Whilst delivered wholly online, a buddy system will be arranged to ensure participants are supported and can keep up to pace with the course content. Groups are welcome to have multiple people attend so they can work together.
There are 30 places available. Registrations close Sunday 25 October.
The sessions will be hosted online and links will be sent prior to each session.
This training is funded by the Victorian Government’s Landcare Program.
