Have your say on the Regional Catchment Strategy

5 July 2021

The Port Phillip and Western Port region supports many diverse and unique ecosystems while also being home to 78% of Victoria’s population. The region faces numerous complex challenges including climate change, increasing urbanisation and population growth, and loss of biodiversity.

Over the past year, the Port Phillip & Westernport CMA has been working with various stakeholders to develop the draft Port Phillip and Western Port Regional Catchment Strategy 2021-27.

The strategy is produced as a website and outlines the vision for the region, assesses its current condition and set targets for the future. It looks at how on-ground work in the region will contribute to implementing government policies and achieving statewide targets, whilst also incorporating the knowledge and priorities of local communities.

We would love you to take the time to consider the draft and provide feedback that will help shape the final strategy. Feedback is invited until Sunday 1 August.
